WORKOUT for 7/18

1. warm-up run 10-30min.
2. drills and strides
3. Marathoners or those training for longer races: 4-8x 800 – ‘Yasso’ *style  or 10mile pace w/400m btwn. or
5k training- 2-3x 200, 400, 600, 200 w/ 200 btwn and 400 btwn sets @5k pace.

* Yasso style is running 800s at projected marathon time- ex. If you want to run marathon in 3:30, then you do 800s in 3:30 (minutes of course)

– workouts are challenging but manageable in hot conditions.
– take caution running too hard or forcing pace in heat!
– take more time btwn reps if you’re not feeling great.
– next week is last in this summer session
