The Winner’s Circle Running Club’s New Year’s Day Classic (a.k.a. Hangover Classic) 10K and 5K Road Races will be run on Tuesday January 1, 2013, at the Carousel Lounge at Salisbury Beach, MA. Proceeds to benefit the charitable activities and youth and adult running programs of the Winner’s Circle Running Club.

The WCRC Hangover Classic features both 10K and 5K road races. Both races start simultaneously from the same line and both finish on the same line (with start and finish chip timing). Both courses are flat and fast – entirely on beach front roads (no beach running). Given the scenic beach front location, many participants choose to take a post race ocean plunge to kick off the New Year. Post Race Party with music, beer, raffles at the Carousel Lounge at Salisbury Beach, MA.

The weather is unpredictable in January, it’s part of the adventure, but the race will be held regardless of the weather unless the roads are closed by the police (has never happened in the 31 year history of the race). 12	13 Pat Polletta Pre-Registration Event May 13, 2013 4:30 pm – 11:03 am From 4:30PM to 9:00PM on Monday May 13 race director Tanya Anderson will be holding a special pre-registration event for the 35th Annual Pat Polletta 2 Mile Rail-Trail Race (the race is Friday evening June 21), hosted by Michael’s Harborside in Newburyport, MA. Tanya will be holding a special raffle for those that pre-register that night. As part of Michael's Community Sponsorship Night series, 10% of the proceeds of all food purchased between 4:30PM and 9:00PM will be donated to the race charities - Amesbury High School Track and Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country.
