Extensive research shows the value of using all energy and muscle systems to improve your running, avoid injury, and make you a better athlete. HOWEVER this type of training must be done carefully with an appropriate level of stress increase for the athlete to realize the most benefit and not to get injured in the process.
WCRC coach Mike McCormick will lead a weekly series of Spring coached training sessions on 7 successive Tuesday evenings, starting Tuesday May 10 (until June 21) in Newburyport; meet at Nock Middle School parking lot on Low St. All abilities welcome. Workouts based on your fitness level and speed. Athletes grouped together in ability levels. Emphasis on speed-endurance, running technique/form, and sustainable training. Fee $10 per week, $50 for entire session.
